Nautilus is the ONLY application to behave this way :
1-Open an application
2-Minimize the window
There is a small mark in the launcher application's icon
3-Click on the launcher application's icon :
The current application window pop up
BUT With Nautilus, on step 3
mythtv-status' dependency to "motd" is only a "Should", which won't
break the dependency calculation. So no need to change anything here and
carry around a delta.

PTP Cameras not working on 14.04, works flawlessly on 12.04
I removed the duplicate status. The bugs might be related, but we don't
know that. In the other report people have the problem after every
reboot. In this bug it happens while being logged in. As the bug occurs
randomly, I cannot yet confirm if the workaround from the other bug does
it.

I changed my own password on the Gnome User Accounts applet. After
reboot, I could not access my home directory. It turns out the ecryptfs
passphrase was still wrapped with the *old* password.
Workaround: in single user mode, I used ecryptfs command to rewrap the
passphrase.
Just a small contribution to the still unresolved topic.
- The freeze of nautilus can be avoided if the file is deleted permanently
(Shift + DEL)

Can'
I could be wrong but I coud't Sync my iPhone5 through rhythmbox. I get
the same error, "resource not found" but only when I try to sync files
in a folder. Although when I try to sync files it showes files have been
synced but infact no change has been made. This problem has been

Hotkeys don't work PyCharm 3.1.3 in English (US) layout after PPA + the
"restart unity-settings-daemon".
Output of setxkbmap -query:

However hotkeys now work in other apps (for ex: chromium) both
Can these patches to gnome-settings-daemon be submitted to the gnome3
team, so they can merge them in one of their ppa's? This way we will be
able to use newer Gnome desktops.

I believe this has to do with the transition from udev->systemd.
Previously these rules were created by /lib/udev/write_cd_rules which
was part of the udev package.
I don't see this in the present systemd package however.

I'm not sure what is pure gnome. It happens to me on 14.04, with
http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3/ubuntu and
http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3-staging/ubuntu enabled, but
WITHOUT Ricotz testing PPA. The unity-settings-daemon is not installed
on my system.

Rob, I believe the code that creates the xorg.conf was merged into
ubuntu-drivers-common, however the gpu-manager task does not currently
run under gdm. Do you get a autogenerated xorg.conf if you edit
/etc/init/gpu-manager.conf
to include an
'or starting gdm'
Also there is a build of gdm at ppa
I'm experiencing similar problem too: missing pointer speed and
acceleration settings in 14.04 using Logitech K400r keyboard.

Can confirm same behavior on Ubuntu 14.04 using Unity. Tried creating a
custom hotkey to toggle mpc using my keyboard's Fn key and F4 but it did
nothing. The same custom keybinding with just F4 works, however.
