Something is going strange here. I remove ~/.config/evince. Everything
goes right. After a while, the duplex option vanishes, I only can print
one-sided. Also the quality option "Fast Draft" is vanished. I remove
~/.config/evince again. Things are working again. And so forth.

As I just figured out this behaviour appears after switching from "A4"
to "A4 Borderless". After printing the options vanished when the
printing dialogue is called next time. Switching back to "A4" and
printing something, next time calling the printing dialogue the options
are available again.

Same problem here with ubuntu 13.04 and Rhythmbox 2.98.
Shares folders are auto-mounted via fstab and cifs.
VLC reads fine the same distant files and folders.
DAAP shares (inside RB) look to work - when they appear on the local
network which is not always true, most of the time I have to manuall

I'm having this problem in raring right now. Although I'm not sure what
