I just noticed that starting gimp in a terminal with the switch
"--stack-trace-mode=always" prevents the crash. "save as" saves and gimp
stays on. So the command I use is: "gimp --stack-trace-mode=always &".

no, everything seems to work now, at least in my version (I have the
gnome team ppa) and in the gtk3-demo application.
I am not sure, but it seems like the relative path takes a resource://
now, maybe that's what fixed it ...

With Nautilus, I navigated to a folder that contained about 2,000 gif files.
I selected all of them
I cut with Ctrl+X
I navigated to another folder
I pasted with Ctrl+V
=> A popup window appeared saying "Preparing to move N files", and it got stuck
there forever.

Note that moving the same amount of files with a "mv" command from a
terminal takes a fraction of a second. The exact same should happen with
nautilus.

Evolution 3.6.2 update with 3 small IMAP accounts (maybe 200 hundred
emails stored on remote mail server): the entire UI blocks to the point

(I did reboot). Phone is a Motorola XT890 running ICS. I've tried
multiple USB ports, unlocking the phone's screen and switching between
MTP and PTP. Further things to try would be welcome.

Like Jesse Lee screen darkens now without switching off at all. There is
