I have this in 12.10. When I try to erase the USB with Startup Disk
Creator, the two threads start using 100% CPU each and balloon to tens
of gigabytes of memory in a matter of minutes.

Hi, got the problem after a kernel update (?)
evince in the console shows many of this lines:
Bogus memory allocation size
Error: could not create truetype face
some font thing failed
Error: Found a bad table definition on true type definition, trying to
continue...
Error: Found a bad table def
This should be marked as affecting compiz and/or unity as it is unlikely
the bug is in Evince or updatemanager.

Kill -9 does the trick. I had been using xkill and I guess it does not
do that. Destroying or closing the window, or using xkill, results in a
respawn, but kill -9 from the terminal gets rid of it.

Really chaning the phrase "Party Mode" to "Fullscreen" would eliminate the
problem.
Party Mode is gibberish. A fullscreen app is how we used to use apps back in
the day and it wasn't always a party. Or is the TTY a terminal "Party

It is still present in 13.04... and I wonder if part of the reason could
be purchased music. Ubuntu One doesn't store its music in the Music
folder. So Multiple Locations "are" set.

I thought it might be something normal for a tool to see running
applications and other live information about system to use 5-10+ % of
processor, but since I recently tried Xubuntu and that script uses
almost no resources, I made my mind to report it as a bug. It can
