this isn't a bug in Gimp.
The problem comes the version of GTK+2, witch comes with Ubuntu.
I linked GIMP 2.8.2 against GTK+2.24.15, witch i installed on the system, and
the Gimp's make check showed no errors.

Thanks for this test, unfortunately the report got unattended for a long
time. I testes with Totem 3.4.3 and was not able to reproduce with Totem
3.4.3, if you still see this behavior please feel free to reopen the
report by marking the status as "new".
