Bug 1051447 is about this same problem, it seems. That one's assigned to
glib. It probably is that general, 'cause it's happening in totem and
other apps, too. (Like bug 1051371; I duped that one, too.) So I
I also want to note, that clicking on a file with apostrophes and spaces
in the name, in nautilus, can open several instances of gedit, passing
each a fragment of the name.

I duped a couple bugs that appear to be this problem. This one was
assigned to glib, which seemed better. Certainly it's more general than
just nautilus or totem. I tried to make the subject line more general,
and note that apostrophe-space any where in the whole path can trigger
the bug. Thank

The only weird thing in general is that any word(s) & spaces before the 1st.
apostrophe are treated normally (as one), after the 1st occurrence of an
apostrophe then spaces & words are separated.
If there is no space after the first occurrence of an apostrophe then all is
normal

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #958726, so is being marked as such. Ple
My workaround for this problem is to send "halt" command to the
underlying client o/s. Below are the steps needed, do in the server:
1. Chroot to the client environment:
$sudo chroot /opt/ltsp/i386
2. Define root password:
#passwd
3. Install openssh server and exit from chroot:
#apt-get insta
Ah, now I see. The original bug report (not by me) states: Package:
empathy 3.3.92-0ubuntu3. I guess, the poster has made the report during
beta-testing of 12.04. I repeat that my tests were done on a stable
version (3.4.x).
