I am not sure how to fix the problem with the Gamma glyph not being
selectable. It is not selectable because it has a zero width, because
there is no Widths array in the file. This is a violation of the spec.
Poppler has a mechanism to provide default widths, but this does not
work for symbols.

The patch doesn't fully solve the problem for me. I have attached

Public bug reported:
This bug report is against the gdm 3.5.90 package off ricotz/staging
ppa.
On inital boot, gdm fails to load as it is trying to start on VT1. This
seems to be the issue that was previously fixed by the
"06_first_vt.patch".
Digging a bit into the gdm package, it is built with
some further debugging
server->priv->is_initial = 1
server->priv->display_seat_id = /org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Seat1
However these values appear to always be the same, regardless of if its
the first initial boot, or later restarting GDM.

Tim, thanks for filing this and posting what you've figured out. I have
to admit I don't really understand gdm much at all.
We did notice some booting problems. I managed to have some success if I
booted without quiet splash. gdm then booted into the fallback mode (ie
looks like gdm 3.0). GNOME th
Here is a patch, that fixes it for me. However I don't really know
enough about gdm to say this is entirely correct.
I have no idea, if or how multi-seat stuff works, but atleast I can boot
now and it seems to work fine when restarting gdm also.
