limit io in any way and there is no reason that cpu bound should make a
different on the disk type...
where is nautilus being slow? what filesystem and view mode do you use?

Dngrsone, did you verify this with several CDs? Some discs in
MusicBrainz' database lack CD TOCs and thus can't be looked up. Does CD
lookup work with Picard?

I don't think it is picture problem nor an environmental problem because I
run my ubuntu 10.04 in the same hardware (I only switch the disk with 12.04
installation instead) and on this old version the same picture doesn't
freeze the system.
