I did a clean install of 12.04, followed by a deja-dup restore of a
backup of my home directory. I then enabled "disable touchpad while
typing." Then I began having these symptoms.
Previously, (when I was on 11.10 , from which the backup was made) I
had created a custom syndaemon launcher startu
Tested in non-2D Unity, lag still happens.
Can get so bad that the window greys out just because the AI is thinking.
Did they remove an AI thread, or did the AI get a lot dumber?
It used to be even level 3 AI on this computer completed almost instantly.
Anyway it hung, looped music, and crashed

I do mean scrolling with the touchpad, in my case edge scrolling, over
the default GTK scrollbar. I haven't tried it with the overlay
scrollbar.
The result of edge scrolling over the GTK scrollbar in evince is that

when i try to change the permissions, which i don no how it changed to

It is going if autostart empathy -h. If start manually ICQ status is
offline, but if reselect Available contacts are showing. Also gnome-
shell user status menu doesn't change ICQ status.

I was having the opposite problem on 12.04 ... No power indicator applet
(upon login -- saw one AT the login screen).
Running "gsettings list-recursively|grep settings-daemon" spat out that:
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power active false
...
In terminal, "gsettings set org.gnome.settings-

I don't get why it was necessary to change to Rythmbox... Banshee knows
more, and this is a basic feature necessary for any music player.
