I got a work around on this. The problem is to assign something with
ALT. I think it confuses the system with HUD shortcut. I changed my
music keyboard shortcuts from ALT+X/Z/C to something else like a
keyboard assigned button BACK, PLAY, FORWARD and it works. Ubuntu does
not forget the shortcut.

only option is to reboot the system.

gnome-settings-daemon 3.4.0 mentions a Wacom-related change, in the

James has a good point that desktops don't get lid closed events. The
patch in comment #1 is an interesting way to use that fact. Does the
code in question only occur within the context of a lid close event? If
so, then it might be a contender to work around the problem.

#945477 is a crash at the same place. That one kept happening, after a
fix was uploaded for the first, and it looks like that's the position my
tablet is in now, after those have been fixed. Mine certainly seems

the window manager should permit *any* window to be maximized via a key
combination regardless of wether the window has maximize/restore

But it gave me a clue, how this bug should be fixed:
Patching StepUp/StepDown handlers is very bad practice, because these methods
may be called by some other applications. We need to prevent calls to these
methods depending on some parameter.
