I am using gnome-shell. This bug is present since i am using GS. (About
5 months now)
I stopped my network connection to make the job pending for some time to get my
screens.

patches for both nm-applet and gnome-control-center. Essentially, nm-
applet needs to carry an extra gconf key "show-applet" that will be

ok, I tried in a guest session to set the gsettings to 'all' which seems
to work since there is a printer icon showing but no double battery,
that's on a docked laptop, I tried undocking the laptop, docking it
back, restarting g-s-d, restarting unity-panel-service, still no double
icon, not sure ho

No, it's only meant for nm-applet to be hidden when the gconf key is set
to false. The only effect for KDE would be if a user was using nm-applet
rather than the plasma applet.

I just did a quick test of nautilus 3.2.1-0ubuntu4.2 patch on my Linux
Mint 12 (which is based off oneiric) system which has Cinnamon, Gnome
Shell and Unity on it. So far it seems to be all right. I still have
global menu in Unity and no global menu in Cinnamon and Gnome Shell. So
far no freezes

Heh, ironically I had to update glib to get other issues fixed again...
In the end it changes nothing. Two bugs I had at hand: bug #870742, bug
#881978. These are just two of the lot I came in contact with. Some I didn't
even bother to respond to any more. There are plenty by others as well.
