No easy way to turn the sound men
I'd just like to update the record to include the trouble shooting steps
for defective media. However after attempting to do so I realized I was
no expert. Trying again seams best. Once an issue is reported by
multiple media using multiple devices, it most likely is not defective
media. Multipl
"badblocks -n" comes to mind. If the bootable USB drive passes this
test, then it's 100% good.

I tried burning a blu-ray disc on an external Buffalo BR-X816U2 writer,
with both Brasero and K3b, on a Precise installation from today's
alternate image. I'm basically just adding a few data files and pressing
"burn".
Both fail to burn :(
Brasero ejects the medium and then says an internal error
I should learn to keep my mouth shut. "badblocks -n" is likely to cause
USB flash defects, however it would indicate that the drive WAS 110%
good.

same problem here, remuco-rhythmbox worked fine on natty, now broken on
oneiric. I renamed the file to .plugin as indicated above by
driesfeys, also renamed the section. You can then see the plugin, but
not enable it because checking its box will crash it. I get this on the
stdout:

I think somebody who has access to do so should raise the priority of
this bug to a higher level. This bug has been known to break certain
network services, even services which have no apparent legitimate need

Evolution is also broken because it cant use gnome-keyring and asking
