Gabriel, I will try what you suggested. By the way, I have been using Ubuntu
Studio 11.10 and ever since this problem started, I switched to Banshee in
order to listen to music. In prior Ubuntu Studio releases (11.04 and older) I
didn't have this problem.
I already tried the update option an
Ignore my last post that bug only applys to when the window shouldn't be able
to be resized.
The reasons some grips are gone in 12.04 is probably because the application
have migrated to gtk3 and have disabled grips, this will happen over time and
the problem will disapear.

What I see in your screenshot is that you have a Total Filesystem capacity of
2TB.
This includes every mount you may have in your system (including remote mounts)
