@alexiade, I think most of the persons that have referred to "mouse" in screen
mode has been to point out that the problem occurs with any device in screen
mode (mouse or any tablet), not only with the Wacom tablet.

jrierab's recommendation worked for me.
I did lose the folders I created under "On This Computer" but I am
pretty sure it occurred prior to my performing the workaround.

This sounds like a hardware problem with your computer and this isn't something
we can do anything about.
You should backup your system, in case the harddrive fails.

not really... what you see there is that the toolbar has a gradiant and the
sidebar not... (with few lines of change you get this)
what can be done is:
solution 1) sidebar dark and toolbar without gradiant (easy way)
solution 2) redesign the containers that the toolbar would take the whole
horizon
Looks like in the recent refactoring work they forgot to check the
rr_outputs pointer before dereferencing it.
Easy enough to check for this situation and bail, but not 100% this is
the right way to solve this bug.
