The symlink was created on nautilus upgrade, tested with a new user where
mimeapps.list was setup to dupe what an upgrade install would have.
Trash, usb drives opened fine, going to a Classic login Places opened fine.
No side issues found on a normal fresh install

Sigh indeed Michael :) .. what you described is case #4 in my initial
report.. Vinagre remembers passwords while it is still open, as soon as
it's closed, all passwords are forgotten. (mind you, I haven't tried
this with multiple hosts to see if only the last used password is
remembered..?)

An effective workaround for me is to turn off X-tilt and Y-tilt in the
input-device settings.
I didn't have to do this in 11.04, and I don't know what it effects -
but as far as this bug go - it's an effective workaround, as I haven't
been able to reproduce it since.

of 11.10 the Xorg server update and i thought too it will solve the
solution. Too bad I can't really test my graphic tablet threw a Virtual
Machine to confirm, but i'm pretty sure it's ok since my old solution

This issue is heavily flooding xsession-errors log (about 50/80 Mb per 8
hours) on Precise i386 , so i'm hoping a fixed package asap. Importance
is set to "Low" and is not "Assigned" yet, thats really a bad roadmap.
