I did a full update yesterday (12/Sept/2011) and the keyboard got disconfigured
and back to american layout. My problem now is that I've the disc encrypted and
I use characters that do not exist in the american keyboard so now I can't even
login to the system!

I can confirm this problem with an onboard and an usb sound card. After
every new login, only the onboard card is controlled by "gnome-control-
center sound". I have to manually switch the cards.

Actually it's not a duplicate, it's almost the opposite.
#34795 complains that autologin happens on "switch user", and tries to
log in as the same user already logged in before, which is clearly not
helpful.

Certainly seems to be a kernel issue, possibly g-s-d should be invalid, or
maybe you should create a new bug
The only thing here is that if I don't let g-s-d automount the drive w/ the
helper then at least w/ the 3 drives I have SR always works fine.
