extra functionality specific to Gimp such as creating multi-page pdfs

gnome-control-center crashed
I didn't even had to start nautilus, I just started KDE (I use Kubuntu)
and it reported nautilus crashed (why, I didn't even start it :D)...

the glibmm and --desktop was a red herring. Even from command line
sometimes it starts and sometimes it fails to start with the GTK+ CSS
provider error.
