I was looking for information on a very similar issue and google brought
me here. I think the reason nobody's posted a screenshot is because it's
quite difficult to grab one as print-screen causes it to lose focus.
With a time delayed shot, however, I grabbed one and figured I may as
well post it.
Since this report date, several packages updates have been made, like
gnome-panel.
Severl logout ave been made too, and now i cant reproduce this issue. So maybe
it can be closed.

I think I have found a workaround: This problem does not occur on a
fresh ubuntu install if I add my printer (HP Color LaserJet 2605dn) as a
LPD/LPR-printer. The the device URI is lpd:///PASSTHRU
Can anyone confirm this?

Session saving is a must have feature! I really missing it after
switching from KDE to Gnome/Unity, KDE was and still is really good in
session management and it would be great to see such session management

I think this is more of a feature request, but anyway:
I was unable to convert degrees to radians (with full precision). First
I tried to get the value of pi, but couldn't find it in either of the
available modes. To work around this, I tried 4*arctan(1), but this
didn't work
