Putting `.md` on the end of a text file sets the mimetype to
`application/x-genesis-rom`, this is very annoying since many github
projects use markdown readme files (README.md).

It looks like this extension is defined in
/usr/share/mime/packages/freedesktop.org.xml, which dpkg -S says is part
of the shared-mime-info package. It's still there in oneiric too [1].

3) On certain occasions, nothing appears at all on the launcher when gedit
gets launched.
Happens from time to time on Natty, always on Oneiric.

It appears intermittent in Oneiric as well, I'll try to come up with

weird gedit + launcher beha
Hey, I think you have to use the "Page Setup" or "Print Setup" option from
the File menu. It's an old bug; the page setup in the print dialog doesn't
work, only the one in the file menu does.
