/etc/X11/default-display-manager does not exist.
In this situation, gdm and lightdm are both started and gdm is the greeter.
Expected:
1. Lightdm is the default if there is more than one display ma
/etc/X11/default-display-manager is present on the natty desktop images,
and also on my systems which were upgraded from natty. It's not clear to
me how it got lost in the first place.
I think we can handle this corner case a little more gracefully in gdm.

I'm seeing the same problem on a machine I just upgraded from Natty to
Oneiric last night. Control center was fine before, but is now empty.
Re-installing the gnome-control-center and gnome-control-center-data
made no difference - nor did logging in as a different user.

Evolution uses the gnome proxy settings as they were when you opened it.
Subsequent changes to settings do not seem to affect evolution as long
as it is open. Once you close Evolution, you must make the gnome proxy
settings compatible with Evolution before re-opening it again.

is not viewable in Evince. It contain some form that the user can fill in order
to print the complete pdf.
Please make Evince capable to read this kind of pdf.

When a mimeapps.list line for inode/directory= is created it's using the entry
in /etc/gnome/defaults.list for the "Default Association"
Because that .desktop doesn't exist in some limited instances it will then use
