Update: just happened, tried to kill all *screensaver* processed under
tty1 but all I got was that ctrl-alt-f7 brought me to the unactive
graphic fullscreen terminal, I managed in the end to ctrl-alt-bksp since
the mouse pointer appeared after a while.

I think Aurélien's observation may be correct because I was trying to figure
out how to get the pk auth dialog to pop up in the gdm session (ie, the login
window). On natty at least, this was not working because the
polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 is not starting. I found that if I did:

On my two Ubuntu machines Rhythmbox is not fetching album tagging
information from MusicBrainz even though the information exists on the
MusicBrainz database. I checked with the picard program I had on the
machines. The CD lookup revealed the tag

by default (gnome 3 & unity). Fixed? I don't know but it does not affect
me any more as i use Gnome 3.

the GPLv3 Windows program "InfraRecorder" I am able to burn a CD at the
