which network manager are you using, can you try disabling the option
'use_conn' in empathy's settings in gconf-editor, that way empathy won't

This seems as a close resemblence to a problem occuring in Natty-release
as well. Cannot check tick-boxes or type in in the different fields
because of automatic re-alignment on the screen. Seems as a new feature

color in gedit is #e5e3e1, which is exactly the same as other native
text fields, and very different from the #ff used for the rest of
the document.

This was already fixed in the upload of gamgi 0.15-3ubuntu3 - it was a
bug in gamgi, not in glib2.0. I don't know why a duplicate bug has been
filed here about the build failure in the old package.
