I appear to have a similar issue. In Maverick x64 edition changing the
font size in the Appearance changed the font size used in the Nautilus
File manager. This no longer happens in Natty.
By default I always drop the default font size by a couple of points
otherwise they are far too large.

Tried to reproduce the bug with a fantasy-contact. First try to merge:
the old contact stayed there but wasn't merged with the new contact
details (a secondary email-adress). Restarted Evolution and tried it
again: Merging worked perfectly. Third try worked as well.

What I've observed is that "by default" (after logging and when theme is
dropped) theme settings are not changing "one the fly", but when I kill
gnome-settings-daemon and start it again with:
: gnome-settings-daemon --debug --no-daemon
then everything works as expected, theme is restored immed
I have a working system now, just reinstalled with a CD to the system
not VB and it's fine.

Don't think it's that simple. The new agent is overriding the gnome
authentication agent, and you've now lost any keys that were
automagically loaded from the gnome keyring.
This is a very annoying bug, possibly in /usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome
/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.

Unfortunately, since both upstreams have decided to not fix this bug,
and there has been no activity within Ubuntu for 6 months, I am marking
this bug as "Won't Fix". Please adjust or file a new bug if there is
progress on this such that a developer can work on it. Thanks.

In Lucid's case the file is src/gvnc.c but I can confirm it works when gtk-vnc
is rebuilt.

cannot actually get into the terminal. It may be because it is
transparent.
