into the situation that resulted in a dir instead of a symlink though.

Thank you for your bug report, I can't confirm that on my natty
installation though, it correctly list the different device in each tab
and the list is dynamically updated when I connect or deconnect a bt
headset for example

When music file (e.g. *.mp3) is double-clicked to launch associated
music player, totem-audio-preview starts anyway. This is not a problem
when audio output for totem (gstreamer) is configured to play through
pulseaudio or alsa-dmi
please attach your ~/.xsession-errors file to the report . do you see
the same issue with any other application like nautilus, rhythmbox ,etc?
