It happened again this morning. This time I didn't have a nautilus open,
and there were no 'D' processes. One of the 2 sshfs mounts is unmounted,
the other one not. Killing the remaining sshfs gets gnome-panel to be
responsive again.
This starts to look a bit like https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu
Even in 10.10 (Maverick)... Seriously I think that people should use
pidgin again. At least it worked

default homepage ghelp:gnome-help. The patch
debian/patches/06_default_uri.patch which changes the default homepage
to the old URI is no longer necessary and should be dropped.

- enable deleting things without going to trash
