Nominating tasks for maverick and lucid to request this be SRU'd. It is

This is probably not nautilus bug. This looks like libsmb bug. Libsmb generates
same inode numbers for different files which makes nautilus (gvfs) treat them
as hardlinks and count their size only once.
I've submitted bugreport with patch to samba bugzilla:
