In Ubuntu 10.10, Nautilus trash works well while opening TXT or PDF
documents, but when you try to open an ODT file with OpenOffice, it is
opened with the file archiver instead of OpenOffice. Using "right click
> Open with" doesn't help either.

I've used this as work-around
Added a new keyboard shortcut which executes this:
/usr/bin/pacmd "set-source-mute alsa_input.pci-_00_1b.0.analog-stereo 1"
This is binded to 0xf8 (which is the mute key).
The only issue is that this doesn't toggle mute, so it only mutes and
never unmutes.

@Stéphane: so, we have a tool which is call unity_support_test located at
/usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test.
This is the tool deciding if we launch unity or compiz or not…
There are some cases where this tool can crash and it's under fix. You
can run manually /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p to g
I installed a newer lbglib because I saw gdm crashing in glib and I
thought that an updated version helps it not to crash.
But anyway, gdm (I guess it's more glib though) apparently doesn't work
with that version of libpcre. Hence the dependency it must be modelled.

I do not believe this is a NFS issue because I receive the same issue
using smbfs mounted in /media/remotedrive. Nautilus fails to respond
when the network becomes unavailable.
I have a workaround thats annoying, but works. Execute the following commands
