Important things first: I am not an expert and I am not a native speaker

But maybe I have hint about what could be going on here.
A short story about my problems with gnome-system-monitor:
I have used g-s-m on various machines and with diffrent Systems (Debian,
Ubuntu, Fedora). I never

that option is only shown when name was selected and password has to be
entered...!

eats up CPU whereas top usually doesn't.

Hi tellapu.
I went to check again the copy I saved prior to applying the change, and
I have to correct myself: Just the same as what you found out on your
side, the file encoding was actually ISO-8859-15 (not ISO-8859-1 as I
reported previously). I didn't pay attention to the line ending
settings,
frekerik, the gtk+ bug is linked to this bug report. anyways here
