So it sounds like a PolicyKit issue. Please run
sudo killall polkitd; sudo /usr/lib/policykit-1/polkitd
start users-admin, and click on a button that doesn't work. Then please attach
the output here.

pkcheck --action-id org.freedesk
OK, maybe that's not the (only) cause - seems that it might be that
freeSSHd doesn't try to run the specified command in a shell at all, but
just tries to execute it directly.

I've checked the details of what is going on with the icon loading, and
will have a work-around implemented for Inkscape. Since it registers
itself as an icon factory, Inkscape will be able to provide fallbacks
for those missing icons and be able to inject them before the recent
manager can ask for
So, I installed gnome-settings-daemon and ran it, and the problem
persisted. Furthermore, I have another i386 Natty system that runs a
full Ubuntu desktop. On that other system, users-admin works without
problems, and gnome-settings-daemon is installed and runs all the time.

For testing puposes i create a new user that never login to Uniti, And
this bug doesn't apear. So this bug only appears to users that first
login to Uninti and then switched to GNOME.

Preferences" item in the context menu that appears when right-clicking
the background of GNOME Terminal does nothing. "Edit ▸ Profile

Please do not reopen closed bug report. Here, the issue has the same
effect but the cause is *totally* different (evince changed the way it's
saving window settings and you have to save it explicitly by the file
menu). So, to discuss this, open a new bug report please, and file one
upstream as well
