Once I restored the 0..16 order in 'columns_order' property, everything started
to work again: adding columns, changing the *displayed* order.
So the only difference from my user pov now is that the
Edit/preferences/process information fields are not displayed in the same

Network Address, and has a pull down menu. It is always blank. Example

I thought it collected the previous addresses used to ping or trace

the only one I hadn't tried: pop out the burner and /clean the lens/.
Lo and behold, my drive is now fully functional. Brasero burns, DVD's
are recognized again, and I'm happy.

Here we go. I used GIMP again this morning, and two reboots later, my
icons were (a bit) scrambled again. More notably, my wallpaper was
dislocated - it was slightly moved to the right and to the bottom,

I had a similar issue - but I would never get any error message
displayed, seahorse would just exit with no message, leaving behind a
partial copy of the key missing a few bytes from the end at
~/.ssh/id_rsa (or ~/.ssh/id_rsa.1 if that already existed). If I ran
from console I would see the same as

This is purely speculation, but judging from my own experiences, and
from reading these comments. I have no programing abilities what so
ever. Just an End User who wants this system to take off as soon as
possible.

I could finally understand a way of reproducing this problem.
I have ubuntu maverick, fully updated, with an Intel graphics chipset.
The laptop has the battery attached and is plugged to the power.
After booting, when the computer is idle, the display goes off as it should.
However, if I close t
I forgot to say that, even if kill and restart the gnome power manager,
the problem remains.
The only way is to reboot or at least go to sleep mode and come back.

I can confirm this bug in maverick (amd64). It is extremely annoying
because it prevents me from using rhythmbox to play my music. My server
is running windows and so I can't upgrade the version of pulseaudio on
the server because the only binary version available seems to be 0.9.6.
