GNOME Power Manager's configuration was not updated. That caused the

No, it's not working.
It still presents the same behavior.
For instance, right now I booted the laptop unplugged from power. After
one hour of working, I plugged it and the display stopped going to
sleep.

I have just tried booting with the 10.10 amd64 live CD and the text

Brian, sorry I'm not quite sure I get the question. So the applet
appears as soon you choose more than 1 keyboard mapping. I just tried
the keyboard accessibility applet and it's not showing the keyboard
state as well.

In 9.10 there have been a way to painlessly turn off keyboard indicator
by something like that:
gconftool-2 -s
/desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/general/disable_indicator -t bool
true
Now, there is a way, but it turns off correct
this is not an ordinary bug, it was a special one and the cause was that
empathy was not adding talk.google.com to the server field when creating
a new account. *this problem is fixed*
