I have 2 very similar setups of 10.4. One laptop with i915 driver and a
desktop with nvidia driver and dual screen (xinerama). Both setups have
(almost) identical set of panels and gnome applets. The only difference
is an extra panel with "window list" applet in the second screen on the
desktop box
Actually the bug is in the interface, not in the script. So the "good"
workaround is to launch this command:
# gconftool-2 --type string --set /apps/gnome-power-manager/buttons/lid_ac
"nothing"
Which correctly sets the closing action to "Do nothing". After this is set you
will see "Do nothing" i

My problem with evince seems to have solved itself. I don't know if this

right now I'm on Maverick Alpha and there is a bug: when I close
Evolution with the editing window opened, the main window closes but
the editing one becomes inactive and crashes.
I don't know if it would help, I noticed that when doing it, the
close option in the main window (Ctrl+W) is gray
