I've not had time to read the 65 posts above, but I've experienced this

I am running lucid with system-tools-backends at 2.9.4 and am seeing errors
trying to run any of:
Time and Date
Users and Groups
example:
$ users-admin
(users-admin:12353): Liboobs-WARNING **: There was an unknown error
communicating with the backends: Failed to execute program
/lib/dbus-1.0/d
In response to #39. This seems to be the fix for me. Changing the USB
slots used for external devices (in this case a wireless dongle) gives
fast boot and no power-manager fail.

I wish I could, Removed the package, disturbing me to much, and
installed pidgin instead.
The error is as follows:
I can send all messages, even the ones with åäö. And it can be read by the
reciver in normal way. The problem occurs when a user sends me a message with
ÅÄÖ.

I tried to make this installation stuff for a backtrace, but I failed. I
wasn't able to follow the instructions on the sended link. I've got
problems with the signature key for the packages, so I didn't install
it.
