This is definitely expected behaviour for Windows users... but although
I agree that it is somthing which should be addressed... I use a more
cluttered approach to managing desktop windows, and I much prefer the
current behavior of placing a new window in the least occupied area of
the screen... so

This thing happens frequently with different kind of files (MKV, AVI, FLV).
The time bar remains blank, and instead of showing the video time I get a
"streaming" label.
Actually after closing and reopening totem (maybe a few times) I get a normal
behavior.

as mentioned above i need to know how to sync my music into my ipod
using rhythmbox, i am using ubuntu 10.04, i added new music to it last
night but it deleted everything when i ejected it and now it's not
showing up in the side bar when i plug it back in
