In humble option ... it would be silly if upstream partly duplicates
functionality which is already there - gnome-panel should interface with
Alacarte, which could then also provide a "properties" menu item on
actual menus and sub-menus (compare with the "explore" feature in the
Windows start-menu)

I tried to reproduce this issue here under Ubuntu Lucid with
2.30.2-1ubuntu1 but default folder is "/home/user/Downloads", maybe this
was changed in newer versions, please could you check if is possible
under latest release included in Lucid? Thanks!

Back again: I had the same issue again: First call after a fresh start of ekiga
works fine, but the second simply has no incoming audio..the status bar is
showing this:
