Heh, I was fully prepared "to be patient" when I reported this wishlist
item over a year ago. :-)
I didn't know how to report this bug to Jamie Zawinksi (xscreensaver
fella), so I ended up writing him an email. I imagine he gets hundreds
of emails per day, and since I didn't get a response back
P.S. Thanks for posting upstream. I should have done that last year,
but apparently got overwhelmed at that point in time.

@Sebastian: I'll give you example - Gadu Gadu. It stores contacts on
server, but Empathy is unable to import them anyway automagically and
there is no such option anywhere.
Pidgin does it, so why Empathy can't ?

My notebook does not have a floppy drive, and the BIOS does not have an option
to disable it, and I am affected by this bug too (or at least my desktop takes
an eternity to load up). I didn't had problems before 10.04.
This is reaaly annoing. It takes 2 minutes to open Gnome.

This should be fixed in evince 2.30 which is shipped with Ubuntu Lucid.
I tested with a "fake" smb share on my local computer and thumbnailing
worked for PDFs - please reopen the bug by resetting the status to new

I have same issue with Ubuntu 10.04 + Empathy 2.30.1. Like sayd, when a
arriving message contains newline character (I let my chat buddy do
shift+enter in WLM to test) it won't show up in chat window. It will
shot up in chat log and when the chat window ain't focussed a
notification popup will also
