FYI- I went to the support tracker site and could not find anything that helped
I upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04.My cursor become invisible. Each time I
have to open Terminal,type a few things and the mouse cursor will
appear.I use ctrl-alt-F1 then ctrl-alt-F7 then the mouse cursor will
appear. It is hard to use without the mouse cursor.May have to revert

Same problem here on my Thinkpad T60p after upgrading from Karmic x64.

For information, this "Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead"

This bug has been randomly affecting my notification area since I did a
fresh Lucid install. The problem seems to be that gnome draws a part of
the MeMenu on top of the shutdown icon (as illustrated in the attachment
"bug.png").
Redrawing the panel (as described in comment #15) solves the problem.
Closing the bug as no further information has been provided.

I've installed GUFW (GUI for the 'uncomplicated' firewall). If I
disable the firewall all is good. I'm working on getting this to be an
exception rather than disabling the firewall but that's proving to be
not 'uncomplicated'.

It seems to work if I add a rule allowing 192.168.0.0/24 (IP adresses
for my MSHOME network) in on TCP and UDP. I don't have a clue what UDP
is and only the vaguest Idea what TCP is but it seems to work.
