Binary package hint: gnome-panel
The logoff/shutdown button dissapears each time after restart/logoff in
Ubuntu 10.04.
This problem appeared to me two days ago; I havn`t made any modifications, nor
updated Ubuntu.
Please help.

Post Lucid Lynx 10.04 upgrade from 9.10, una
In my case problem was related with full disk.
When I logged to console with Ctrl+Alt+F1, checked disk usage:
$ df -h
And it showed, that there is no space left.
When I deleted some files, I could again log in.

Really, why does GNOME have to remove all options nowadays?
Can't they at least keep various options still available through gconf-editor ?
I mean in Karmic the new login screen already removed various options.
