I get similar behavior on Jaunty (updated from 8.04, through 8.10 to 9.04 now).
It happens occasionally that I've read all the mail in my inbox. There are non

It seems like a problem of permissions and folder configuration; since
I've differents user between a machine and other. When do the back-up
import (tar.gz) it create a new folder named with last user and current
user don't have permissions; so when I ran sudo gdb evolution works.

I believe this is definitely something to do with the sound server being
shut off too quickly; I tried using the "play" command from the sox
package, and it still doesn't work (even on logout).
Here's my current /etc/gdm/PostSession/Default

play /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo/desktop-l
I confirm this bug. It is really annoying. My steps to reproduce it are:
1) I start rhythmbox, 2) after it has started, it doesn't show the
status icon on the panel and it won't show until I disable and re enable
the status icon plugin.

When I transfer songs, rhythmbox converts the song (from ogg to mp3),
