Well, here's a solution, someone might like. Browsing around the web I
happened to come across a very nice panel add-on. It's like the Win7
panel, but does even more. The icons look exactly like as if u just add
them to the gnome panel, but obviously they can do more. It's a

1. The track lengths are reported as way too long, i.e a 4/5 min track is

Well adding "xingmux" to the gstreamer pipeline as described above seems
to fix the track length bug in Karmic.
However, it does not fix the file size problem. Should I report this as

Alpha 3 still has bug in this part.
What happens:
Computer turns on, starts up Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Alpha 3, Show Login Screen,
starts count down for Auto Login, if no user input-it auto logs in no problem.
If interrupted, and other is choosen, it chooses the default auto login user
and still logs
I've seen this on every AMD64 install I have, in both Karmic and Lucid.
In all cases, removing the Ubuntu flashplugin-installer and
nspluginwrapper packages, then manually installing the Adobe Labs 64-bit
native Flash plugin solved the issue.

When you created the user that was unable to set the frequency, did you
make it an admin user? It seems to work for me as long as the user is
an admin, with lucid alpha 3+.

It looks to me like this could be fixed by simply not writing out
EXIF.OriginalDateTime to the first version of the file (named
"Original") imported by F-Spot. That version is marked as protected,
and should be read-only anyway.
