@Robert: As I expected, adding the xorg.conf you specified didn't change
anything as it was already being detected as cirrus.
I tried using the vmvga driver instead of the cirrus driver, and that

brighness level. I had to deactivate the "Dim display when idle" option

that in order to copy or transfer the ISO file to he Home folder, you

after this crash, i reopen nautilus and restart to delete the unwanted
log files using "Suppr" key:

Will Ambience or Radiance be the default theme for the desktop? I think
the gdm theme should match the one after login.
Also, I hope this will be Radiance, because I think dark themes always
look a little bit deterrent, especially for new users. Light themes are
more "friendly".

I have the same problem and the same workaround mentioned above had been
bringing the icons back, but they disappear again after closing the
nautilus window, and nautilus should continue to run in the background,

to get GDM to load the login window with no luck, right know it just
loads the background and mouse then the sound comes on that its.

because the repo ones wouldn't work.
