I don't think you understand the meaning of the definitions "band aid"
and "work around". A "band aid" or "work around" means it's not
properly fixed or only partially implemented. The implementation is not
expandable. It actually creates more work in the end due to it's bad
design.

thing and i had to delete a facebook account from empathy and creating
it again to make empathy log in. So we have a solution but many user

I got the problem .too.and after this ,I got a new problem ,when the
progress bar arrive at 81% ,it can not go further,and a tip "checksum
do not match ,retry?".I tried ubuntu-9.10-amd64 and ubuntu-9.10-i386
,and ubuntu-9.04-i386.the problem is the same.
