Jim: Yelp does work in Ubuntu when opening Gnumeric. It does not work
when you do a fresh install using Xubuntu.
I can not say if the bugs are duplicates, I do not get a crash. It fails
silently. Even when waiting 5 minutes, I do not get any help to open in
Xubuntu when using Gnumeric.

I apologize I must have missed that part of your comment that it
happened in other applications. I would agree with you. However I have a
suspicion that it is not caused by xorg but caused by the nvidia
drivers. This is easy to confirm try disabling the Nvidia Drivers to see
if the problem persists

I agree. This is a real deal-breaker for me. The only thing that I use
the calculator for is to convert between hex/dec/bin and that is now
very difficult. As far as I can tell, there is no way to set the default
input base to be something other than decimal. As a result, every time I

I added Rhythmbox to this bug report since at least the player shows up
in nautilus (listed as a regular USB device). However, it is not
properly detected in Rhythmbox unless a .is_audio_player file is placed

This crash always happens when unlocking my keychain (seahorse) the
first time so this is starting to look like a GDK/GTK issue with the
password widget. Not sure, still testing.

I have the same bahvior. Both with nVidia and ATI cards. I do not think
it is related to a specific driver. I also get this crash from the gdm
login as well as from the login to unlock screen after screen saver.
I have discovered it only happens with passwords longer that 8
characters. Trying pass

Empathy doesn't give irc as an option in it's setup wizard. To set up an
IRC account, you must set up some other type of account and then set up
a new irc account through the Edit -> Accounts menu option.
