How much RAM do you have on your machine? While Ubuntu is built to run
on low hardware specs, low RAM storage could contribute to the problem.

For a soft link to a small image file, Nautilus will show the thumbnail
of the image overlaid by a giant arrow indicating that it's a softlink.

In hunting for the root cause of some of my gvfs crashes, I discovered
that my system didn't have udisks installed.
It appears that libgdu0 doesn't depend on it, but gnome-disk-utility
does. Since the GDU pool creation functions are d
app_indicator_new() just calls g_object_new and there is no special
constructor set in AppIndicator, so it will only fails in OOM condition
which we usually do not check for. Sure there is a bug somewhere in
indicator-application, but it does not make sense to check for something
which is always va
