Hello, I have just started having this problem.. don't know how to
explain if it's reproducible, but it has been happening for a coupel of
days now... I did all the updates in case there was a patch out there,
but it still happens. The ironic thing is that it was working perfectly
until then.

Yes, it happens with any kind of files from anywhere, except external
hdd's and usb's device. It's reproducible with a new user who use trash
the first time. Once we have reproduced the problem (erasing files) and
then we close session, it can't be reproduced with the same user
anymore.

Thanks for catching that one! I've been able to reproduce the crash with
an up-to-date Lucid LiveCD. It happens because we've changed the way
callbacks are handled, and the pointer to the dialog was invalid, which
means we were using a NULL pointer for the server address.

as duplcate. I'm aware it does so in a confusing manner.
Lucid Lynx is also affected.
In the essence my search which also led me here, ends up to following
I started the machine this morning and received a notification that my
wireless was connected.
I download some e-mail and no notification appeared.
I ran "notify-send sometext" in terminal again and no notification
appeared so I looked at my osd log file and this is what I found.

So I chose to reload and then ran "notify-send sometext" in terminal
again and this is what happened in the osd log file.
No notification appeared.

Emmanuel Rodriguez aka 'potyl' wrote a 'plugin' which fixes the scrolling when
pasting text with the mouse.
Unfortunately, it's placed in sourcecode only in a 'repository-style', which
means there's no configure script
