Hi.
It seems that I'm seeing this bug with Lucid's CD as of today. I'm
running things from the Live CD, without anything installed so far, just
to see the status quo.
I tried playing the example video from the CD (the one with the ocean
etc). It played, say, 10 seconds, stopped and then segfaulte

Unfortunately, don't have a newer system set up at this time. I was
going to put a Jaunty or Karmic system together, but job outlook at the
moment is shaky, so I had to postpone. I am shooting for 10.4 (I forget
the name at the moment) when it comes out later this year.

I was running Hardy with the default (but up to date) version of evince.
That was the last time it worked (there was a different bug (in cairo in

I had this same problem on Karmic UNR, and installing vino and vinagre
solved it for me. Maybe those come standard on Ubuntu desktop. Perhaps
those should be "recommended" or something by the empathy client.

I seems to be affected by this defect. I am attaching screenshot of my
desktop. Notice that the system toolbar and windows decoration reflect
the theme, but interior of the Nautilus windows (and e.g. desktop popup
menu) doesn't. This appeared after upgrade to 9.10, it wasn't present on
9.04.

Please let me know what kind of information you need. This defect is
intermitent. After login the session is using correct theme but
sometimes after a while the Nautilus starts looking differently. I have
no deterministic way of reproducing this but if I can provide some
information when this occur
Yes, it is indeed reproducible in Ubuntu 9.10 the Karmic Koala. As a matter of
fact, I believe that 9.10 is the version that this bug was filed against.
However, I did clear off and made a partition available and installed
64-bit Alpha 2 of lucid to see if this bug will still be a factor once
