I have used Ubuntu on my private computer since 2006, on my company computers
since 2008, and when helping friends to install Linux.
I have always re-arranged items so that all of them are on the lower panel, and

the "Apply permissions to enclosed files" button is not meant to apply
the directory's permissions to the enclosed files, it is meant to apply
the permissions specified in the "File access" drop-down boxes to the

Hey, I have got the same problem as described above.. There are some mp3 files
in my rhythmbox database without time information. Result is, that you can play
those songs but you cannot set the seekbar.
I had a look at the RB xml-configuration files. Among others there is
~/.local/share/rhythmb
I am noticing the same problem on i368 Karmic. Restarting gnome-panel
works for me as well. This has only recently been happening, although,
I'm not sure when it started. I installed over rather than upgrade, so
the .files shouldn't have any hang overs from 9.04.

It's not worth re-installing it.
When you return from suspend and the screen isn't locked, is the
gnome-screensaver process still running?
Does this happen if you set your screensaver to "blank screen"?
