Brian , Actually , We've pinged Guillaume Desmottes regarding the upcoming
papercuts. And he did move very quick.
We've submitted all the papercuts upstream. He has also assigned the
corresponding papercut bugs to the next release milestone. So expect more such
changes flowing from upstream. :)
I managed to fix it. I downloaded a new alacarte source package and
compiled the source code myself. I can now edit any menu entry in
alacarte.
If anyone needs to fix alacarte in Ubuntu Lucid (alpha 1) (gnome-
desktop), because you are unable to edit the entries in the gnome menu,
see below.

This is the same that happens to me. In particular:
When I switch on my computer using only the battery, the Battery monitor
on the tray is showing ALWAYS that the battery is fully charged.
However, making a simple click onto the monitor icon, it shows a popup
with the actual percentag

on the postmodern.svg in gimp to determine which non-blue non-gold tile
was skipped, and it was the green character after the red Zhong (中),
which only appeared in one pair.

startx command I cleaned out the HD, reinstalled G-P-M via synaptic and

I think this maybe a driver issue. I am unable to mount HP DVD 1140
with any kind of CD or DVD. The following commend on the terminal "sudo
lshw -C disk" only showed my hardware drive. it give no information on
the DVD. I have even tried this wit

Evolution is telling me it is 2:30 AM Thursday January 14, 2010.
My actual time is Wednesday January 13, 9:50 PM. Unless evolution is a
window to the future, I don't know how to fix this one.

Nvm, I had the calendar set to UTC time. Rather than my own timezone
Eastern/New York.
Edit>Preferences>General Tab then Timezone.

I have this too. And another problem might be related: with this line in
xmonad's config:
, className =? "Empathy" --> doF(W.shift "9:im")
the contact list does not react as expected(automatically be shifted to
workspace 9).

in my lucid it was a clear bug..
papercuts in my understanding are useability issues that will, once handled,
improve the user's interface experience..
