One main features removed from gdm, is the possibility to log in from the

I just disabled the proprietary driver, and it seems to work, suggest
that Compiz could be part of the issue... I enabled the proprietary

This is an old bug by the way. It's been around for quite a while - at
least since 8.10. Before, it was so intermittent, I thought it was my
mistake. That was until I started using the 'highlight the current

What system monitor are you referring too? Is this gnome-system-monitor?
