I can somewhat confirm this bug with the instructions given by Malte.
Keeping PgDn pressed until I reach page 10, it's still page 9 which is
shown, scrolling back up, when I reach page 1, page 2 is still shown.
But clicking on the page or losing focus or just waiting (maybe for some
random event?)
That's fine and I hope digikam (an excellent application otherwise) also
takes care of this issue but color me confused:

OK maybe I spoke too soon.
I just tried to suspend by closing the lid and it failed again. I had to
suspend following ctrl-alt-del. So this is an intermittent problem now.

Upstream mentioned that you can work around this bug in Exaile by
setting "the device before the track number". This will allow exaile to
work with all versions of gst-plugins-base. It would probably be
beneficial to apply this work around so that Exaile will work again on
older versions of gstream

lowest level, and changing /desktop/gnome/sound/event_sound to false, the drum
sound still played.

Renaming the files in /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo/ is the only way to
deactivate certain sounds without affecting the whole sound notification
system. If you want to disable not the system-ready sound but the desktop-login

Ok, the problem has gone. I just successfully burnt a cd with all tracks.
I believe the bug fix update I installed *(mentioned above) between tries
addressed the problem but the computer had to be restarted.
Anyway it works now. I'm just not sure what to do with this report. I'll keep
my eye on r
"devkit-disks --dump" response with DVD inserted and correctly
recognized by Nautilus:

Nico, thanks a lot. That proves that udev is working, but devicekit-
disks does not emit any events for some reason. This is actually the
first time that I saw a problem like this, so I'm afraid I need to
bother you some more.
